Writely Is Rightly The Likely Future

The death of the traditional desktop application and its local files is nigh. I am writing this with Google Docs. It's all saved up on the Net, no local files to store and hence to lose.

And all I can say, after spending a nervy three hours last night painstakingly copying docs via DOS from a dying laptop hard drive to an IPod is, praise be.
